Ingredients
- Beans (peeled and blended)
- Red bell peppers
- Tomatoes (optional)
- scotch bonnet peppers
- Onions
- Vegetable oil
- Crayfish
- Boiled eggs (optional)
- Fish or corned beef (optional)
- Seasoning cubes
- Salt
- Water
Preparation
- wash and peel beans (remove the black/skin)
- Blend beans with:
- Pepper
- Onions
- Little water
Blend until smooth.
- In a bowl, mix the blended paste with:
- Vegetable oil or palm oil
- Seasoning cubes
- Salt
- Crayfish
- Add optional ingredients:
- Boiled eggs
- Fish
- Corned beef
Cooking Steps
- Prepare your containers (moi-moi leaves, nylon, or cups).
- Pour the misture into the containers.
- Arrange them in pot.
- Add water to the pot (not to enter the mixture).
- Cover and steam on medium heat.
- Cook for 45-60 minutes.
- Check by inserting a toothpick. If it comes out clean, it's ready.
Allow to cool slightly before serving.
