Ingredients
- Fresh okra (chopped or blended)
- Palm oil
- Onions
- Crayfish
- Stockfish
- Dry fish
- Beef or assorted meat
- Pepper
- Seasoning cubes
- Salt
- Water or stock
- Scent leaves or ugu (optional)
Preparation
- Wash and slice okra into small pieces.
- Prepare your proteins:
- Season and cook meat untill tender. keep the stock.
- Blend pepper and onions.
Cooking Steps
- Heat palm oil on a pot.
- Add blended pepper and cook for a few minutes.
- Add cooked meat, Stockfish, and dry fish.
- Pour in meat stock and allow to boil.
- Add:
- Crayfish
- Seasoning cubes
- Salt
- Add the sliced okra.
- Stir and cook for a few minutes.
- Add ugu or spinach (optional).
- Cook for 3-5 minutes.
Soup is ready when it becomes slightly thick and drawy.
